GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug (2 blades
and 1 pin). If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet contact a qualified
electrician. DO NOT modify the plug in any way or use an adaptor.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Wash the Cover and Measuring Cup with a soft cloth in warm soapy water. Dry
thoroughly. Wipe outside of base with a damp cloth, dry.
HOW TO USE
1. Remove the Cover from the Base.
2. For best performance, use 3 to 4 scoops of the included measuring cup/butter
melter or 1/2 a standard measuring cup of kernels.
NOTE: DO NOT EXCEED THIS AMOUNT
DO NOT ADD OIL OR BUTTER TO THE POPPING CHAMBER.
3. Replace the Cover, with the measuring cup in place, in the groove on the top
of the Base. NEVER POP KERNELS WITHOUT COVER.
4. The measuring cup can be used as a butter melting cup if buttered popcorn
is desired. Place up to 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of butter or margarine into
the measuring cup. NOTE: Melting results may vary depending on quality,
quantity and temperature of butter/margarine and popping time of kernels.
5. Place a large heat resistant bowl under the popping chute.
6. Plug unit into a 120 volt AC outlet.
7. Press the On/Off switch to the "On" (I) position.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT preheat the Corn Popper before using.
8. Popping should take approximately 3 – 4 minutes. DO NOT run the unit
for longer than 4 minutes at one time.
9. When popping is complete, turn the unit off by pressing the On/Off switch
to the "Off" (O) position and unplug the unit.
10. Use oven mitts or pot-holders and remove the measuring cup by the handle
and pour butter or margarine over popcorn. If a few pieces of popcorn
remain in the popping chamber after popping has stopped remove the
cover using oven mitts or pot-holders and pour the popcorn into the bowl.
NOTE: The cover will be hot.
